Connie Vetter-Johnson is a Glass Mosaic Artist living in Kelowna.
Two decades ago she began experimenting in tile mosaics, creating complex floor and countertop patterns as well as wall murals. 10 years later, she began working in glass and recycled mirror.
Her work has been part of multiple local exhibitions, including The Kelowna Art Gallery, Alternator Gallery for Contemporary Art, and Art for Humanity and most recently at the Karmyc Bazaar in Kelowna.
Nominated in the last two years for the Okanagan Arts Awards in the several categories, she has also created unique pieces for businesses in the area. Last year she was thrilled to win a bid to do a public project for the Allan Brooks Nature Center in Vernon, an Analemmatic Sundial, which was installed on the Summer Solstice June 21, 2018. This year she has been asked to participate in an international project in conjunction with The Conin Foundation of Argentina to create Murals all over the world and create solidarity for “A World without Childhood Malnutrition”.
